Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Caveman Language ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is operated by eff.today inc ("we," "us," or "our").

What the App Does

Caveman Language is a language learning application that uses the Contextual Learning Framework (CLF). The App:

• Presents language learning through realistic situations, not traditional lessons
• Adapts difficulty based on your performance signals
• Tracks your progress through density levels (10% → 25% → 35% → 55%)
• Does not guarantee fluency or any specific learning outcome

The App is a learning tool, not a substitute for formal education, translation services, or professional language instruction.

Your Account

If you create an account:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials
• You must provide accurate information
• You may not share your account with others
• You may delete your account at any time

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its content
• Use automated systems to interact with the App
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

Intellectual Property

Our Content: The App, including its design, code, learning content (CEUs), adaptation algorithms, and CLF methodology, is owned by eff.today inc and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your Content: Any responses you provide (relay-backs, etc.) remain yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process this content to provide the service.

Feedback: If you provide suggestions or feedback, we may use it to improve the App without obligation to you.

Subscriptions and Payments

If the App offers paid features:

• Prices are displayed before purchase
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store policies
• We reserve the right to change pricing with notice

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Learning outcomes will meet your expectations
• Content is free of errors or culturally appropriate in all contexts

Language learning involves nuance. The App teaches patterns, not perfection. Real-world language use may differ from App content.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim
• Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in such cases, liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless eff.today inc from claims arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the App
• Your violation of any third-party rights

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• We discontinue the App
• Required by law

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases. Provisions that should survive (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law or where you may have the right to pursue claims in small claims court.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Material changes will be communicated via:

• In-app notification
• Email (if you have an account)

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
